Mookiha o piilani - the launching ceremony was so beautiful with the Royal Societies present, ie The Queen Kaahumanu Society, the Royal Order of Kamehmeha, Hale O Na Alii, folks that had worked on the canoe over the last 16 years. All the Cultural Practitioners - Kealii Taua, Sam Kaai, Keomoku, Kimokea, Kapono ai, Bula Logan 

Present were also a canoe maker from  New Zealand, dignitaries from Maui, Hawaii and around the world.

My grandson kapono. One day he will be a big strong Hawaiian and sail aboard an ocean voyaging canoe.
