Settle Down

Lei artist will "settle down", take a deep breath and commit to the lei. Haumana are encouraged to take a breath or pule, I was not taught with pule so do not practise prayer before beginning.....

Our production/class  room is separate from the retail area. The tables are in an L pattern and wrap around, rarely do students face each other, white light lamps are provided on each station, chairs are rolling office chairs. Studio ie. class time is generally quiet, there is rarely food or drink on tables, dress is casual, chatter must be minimal. One of the opposing doors are closed (Maui is very windy), often ac or ceiling fans are on low, feathers will blow everywhere. Each Haumana will have an opala bag, a bin/bag for first cuts and a second bin/bag/tub for 2nd cuts.
